We just got a new used RV. It has the Ford 385 460ci v8. First owner added a ram intake. The noise is terrible. How should I remove it?

I think I need to get a new filter on the motor, no filter doesn't sound fun. And no damaging anything.

I’m assuming the sucking noise is the most irritating, not the droning resonator-type noise? If the droning type noise is the problem and mostly too loud, I would idly wonder about sound insulating it. Otherwise, I’d guess junkyard parts may be your best option.

Is there another vehicle that engine is popular in? How about finding a message board for that vehicle and see if anyone would like to swap this ram air for the stock intake?

It's the sucking sound. Junkyard it is.

Will do. This was used in f250,f350,and e350 for a while in the 80’s and 90’s

It’s an E-series van cab motorhome, from the looks of the picture. Very very very common. I would almost guarantee his local pick-a-part has a mid-80s to late 90s E-series van, and 460s are very common therein.

Yep. ‘88 I think was when they went to fuel injection. Any motor from the to 98 should have the intake. You know ford's.
